Ladies & Jebs: Annabelle The Axe (with Cranston)

Hey everybody! Sorry i'm a bit late to the party- I was in San Francisco and then got sick for awhile. Anyway, I'm here and i've got some fun drawings to share with you!

I don't really have a set theme for my ladies- mostly i'm just taking traditional RPG roles and putting my spin on them.  The first one that I decided to tackle was "hunter"- and that's how Annabelle was born.

I've been trying a new coloring style with these ladies- more graphical and exaggerated- and I think its been pretty successful so far. Hopefully you enjoy it as well.

Swing You Jebbers!

Today's the day, you Halloweeners!

As a celebration of this spooOOooky day, I've got a treat for you! You may have noticed by now that I post this video every Halloween. I'm a swamp creature of habit, so here it is again! One of my all-time favorite animations, and a perfect beginning to whatever weird plans you've got for tonight.

Swing You Sinners! by Fleischer Studios

A seriously mind-blowing animation from 1930, from the same peeps that brought us Bimbo, Betty Boop, and Koko the Clown. On top of being impressive, it's also a ton of fun! - Kyle B

Month of Monsters IV: Sasquatch Sighting

Hey, y'alls! Here's a little something I have been working on.

Decided to take some time out recently to start getting a basic understanding of some very basic animation. I'm really just wanting to know enough to be able to do little gags and goofs here and there, and also to be able to work with animators in the future without sounding like a total doofus!

This one is something I've been working on here and there over this month. I may end up throwing more into it, or move on to a new project to learn more. I'm posting this one as a video for size reasons, but I've made it as a continuous loop in another format to go on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever, (if I wanted it to).

Hey, pals! I've decided to run another, short little series for this year's Month of Monsters. This year I'll be posting my own set of spooky cereals! They're sure to make your taste buds dance, your eyeballs pop, and your livers quiver.

First up is a berry-flavored cereal that's to die for! ← (it had to be said, you guys)

SUP!-tember #3 - Devil's Dew Beer

Yo! Been a while, crocodiles. Like the guys have said, we never forgot about y'alls. We just took a break over the summer to work out our illustration muscles before the big game. Coach says he likes my spirit, and I have a strong back for heavy sketching, but my illustration glutes could use some work. Thanks, Coach.

Now time to start pulling some stuff out of the "Summer Work Vault" to share. First up is a little beer bottle design I put together. Sadly, this is not a real product, so you will not find it in stores. However, I have put together this jazzy little prototype. Ink responsibly, kiddos.

I'll be back later this month to share something else! It's good to be back.

Nude Bruce Review

Nude Bruce Review, by their own admission, is "a literary journal, seeking to publish the very best emerging and established poets and writers from Arkansas and beyond."

A while back, when the very first issue of NBR* was being published, the editors asked Jeb member, Jason Flack, to illustrate the character of "Nude Bruce" for the very first time. Now on issue 3, the editors asked another Jeb, Kyle Blair, to illustrate Bruce in his style. (The plan is to eventually have each Jeb member illustrate his own version of the character, much like the characters of the Jeb universe.)

You can follow Nude Bruce Review on their facebook page, and/or download the latest issue from their website.

*NBR is another way of referring to Nude Bruce Review. Now you know.

The 12 Days of Jebmas: STOLE TRAIN Day 10

“Find the food car,” Jeb yelled. “I’ve got a plan!” And from inside he produced a Can Of Jebmas Jam. Ace laughed. “Yehaw! Now that’s a plan that’ll stick! How much do ya want?” “Ten cans should do the trick!”

The 12 Days of Jebmas: STOLE TRAIN Day 9

“How will we catch them now? The train’s picking up speed!” His deputy laughed, “Always have an ACE up yer sleeve!” From inside the train car, Ace grabbed nine skates, of course! A pair for them each and five for the horse!

The 12 Days of Jebmas: STOLE TRAIN Day 6

Jeb hopped off El Guapo, his albino stallion, and onto the train with the three piggy rapscallions. Six seconds later, the perps pulled a pin. Jeb’s car slowed, no longer pulled by the train engine!

The 12 Days of Jebmas: STOLE TRAIN Day 4

For they were hijacking the Jebmas Train on it’s way into town! “This ain’t gonna work!” Jeb said with a frown.

The 12 Days of Jebmas: STOLE TRAIN Day 2

BANG! BANG!

Two shots rang out, oh, two shots Jeb heard!
He rushed to the window to see what occurred.

Here's my turn to say Happy Halloween, and thanks again! We look forward to The Month of Monsters all year, and it's extra special when you guys enjoy it with us.

Here's to another year of making art together, and staying inspired!

Month O' Monsters Day #5: Dark Wizard!

Welcome to the 5th official day of Month O' Monsters! I have to say: so far this has been our best year ever. I've had a chance to talk to several people who were so nice and genuinely excited about Month O' Monsters this year, which is just very encouraging and energizing for us as artists. All of us Jebs are very passionate about Monsters, and I think that really shows during this special month.

And we're not even halfway done yet! Keep checking in every day and don't forget to send us your monster fan-arts.

My piece today is a creep-a-licious Dark Wizard! Who is this dude? Why are his eyes glowing? Does he have candy to give out? (probably not!)

Month O' Monsters Guest!: Chad Maupin

Today's guest artist is the incredibly talented, Chad Maupin, of Big Bot Design. I've been looking forward to sharing some of this guy's work for a long time, and Month of Monsters seemed like the perfect time to do it!

To start things off, we have Chad's "Wolfman" poster. This awesome illustration is a silkscreen poster that actually uses glow-in-the-dark ink!

(Keep scrolling to read more about what Chad's up to, and see another awesome poster!)

If you live even remotely near Northwest Arkansas, I am almost positive you have seen Chad's work. Whether it's his work for Fayettechill, Pack Rat, or the Northwest Arkansas Roller Derby, Chad is showing up everywhere.

The good news is, you can own your very own artwork from Chad very soon! The Four Legged Bird store in Fayetteville Arkansas is hosting a Big Bot Trunk Show, where you can pick up a ton of awesome art. Check out the poster below, and if you're in the area, you won't wanna miss this!

Chad and his family have lived in Northwest Arkansas for the past 5 years.
Chad loves drawing, comics, antiques, and thankfully, the San Francisco 49ers.

Month O' Monsters Day #2: The Trophy Room

Happy Day Two of the Month of Monsters!

For my first illustration this year, I decided to create a piece as an end to the series I did for last year's Month of Monsters. For those of you who are just joining us, or for those who may not remember my series from last year, (fair weather fans), you can see them here.

Thanks for joining us for this, you guys. We look forward to this month all year. It's a joy to do what we do, and I hope it can bring you a little happiness too!   -KB
