Month O' Monsters IV: Nagini

"I think he is perhaps as fond of her as he can be of anything. He certainly likes to keep her close and has an unusual amount of control over her, even for a Parselmouth."

SUP!-tember #2 - Hey Sailor.

Well, so recently I've been trying to catch up on a few cartoons I missed growing up (anime mostly). And with the announcement of the new Sailor Moon Crystal, I thought I'd do a little bit of fan art.

Month O' Monsters Day #16: Pacific Rim

To fight monsters, we created monsters...

Today's illustration is a fan art poster for the movie, Pacific Rim. This movie draws a lot of it's influence from old giant monster movies, so the idea was to make somewhat of a throwback poster for it. If you haven't already, you should check out the film. It's a lot of fun, and chock-full of monsters.

Month O' Monsters Guest Art Weekend!

This week we had some surprise guest art sent our way! We really love it when people send us stuff, you guys, so keep 'em comin'!

Up first is a submission from the super talented photographer, Heather Charise. Heather gave us fair warning that this illustration may be too weird/ creepy. But I think we can handle it...

You can check out her personal work here, or her stuff for
Authentiqua Studios here. This girl really knows what she's doing.

Up next is a guest art submission from one of the Jebs' younger brothers! Ryan "Cito" Blair sent in a monster he sketched out while he was at work. It looks like he may be more influenced by the art of Jason Flack than his own brother...

Cito is the handsomest of the Brothers Blair. He enjoys sweet treats,
livin' life on the edge, and cuddling. Dude's got big muscles too...

Lastly, we have a new submission from the designer and screen printer, Joel Martinez. Here's a poster he put together for an upcoming monster-themed art show.

Joel is a crazy-hard-working designer that always has something in the works.
From work for CrossFit to sweet gig posters, this guys stays busy.
He is a lead designer at Junk Brands, and in his "free time" he works
as a barista at Pour Jon's coffee shop.

We've already been told about some more, very exciting, guest art that is still to come! So keep an eye out for more submissions to be posted next weekend! And if you have any desire at all to send something our way, please do! Getting involved, collaborating, and inspiring each other is what Jeb Kennedy is all about!

STAY SPOOKY! -Jeb Kennedy

Fan Art: Drew Nunes

Our art pal and real-life friend Drew Nunes was kind enough to grace us with some fan art. Check out his blog for some amazing comic book art, and more recently his fantastic "simple pokemon" series. Thanks Brown Bear!

November Noms Fan Art: Justin Eddy

Guys we have some incredible new fan art today from our good friend Justin Eddy, who took the time to illustrate EXACTLY how to make a Jeb Kennedy sandwich. We here at Jeb Kennedy do not know how Justin got his hands on this sensitive information, but we are sure glad he decided to draw it.

Justin is currently a greeting card designer at Dayspring cards AND he built his very own screen printing rig that I can only assume he keeps in his bedroom.  He is inspired by the works of Jay Ryan, Ty Mattson and Kelli Anderson; all of whom display a great amount of depth, cleverness, and pleasing aesthetics in their work. If you'd like to see more of Justin's awesome work you can visit his website here.

Month O' Monsters Special Guest! Katelyn Banks

Here is some SPOOKY SNACKS submitted by Jeb Kennedy fan, Katelyn Banks, for Month O' Monsters!

Up top we have a photo of some sugar cookie FINGERS she baked, (insert "finger food" joke here), and below we have some photos of some MUMMIES made from lil' smokies! They were horrifyingly delicious!
Submit your own fan art! And watch out next month for more food-themed fun!

Fan art by Jameson Sheppard

Some cool fan art I got tonight from our friend Jameson Sheppard for The Lonely Mountain Miner. The text, if it's hard to read, "Saddened by the thought of not being invited to join Jeb Kennedy, The Lonely Mountain Miner has kidnapped our hero. (Insert gasp!) Since he lacked the foresight to plan, he simply sat on our poor friend. Which is unfortunately fortunate for Jeb, considering monsters roam his streets of Americaville. Now, we wait, as abnormalities rule the month and a curiosity develops. A plot. A thickening plot. A plot that thickens. -Jameson Sheppard"

The plot hath thickened indeed.

New Fan Art!

New masterpiece from Jeb Kennedy fan, Daniel Brouns, depicting an Americaville citizen in need of Sheriff Jeb.

When asked what story his artwork tells the viewer, Daniel replied,

"It's... It's just a man, you know, like a little man that's in the town and he needs the sheriff because Cactus Dave left that little thingy outside his doorstep. You know... like a little... like a ransom note. You know? You know how like some killers leave like rose petals... or something like that? Cactus Dave leaves a little cactus. Anyways, what's that... uh... scarface. You know when he leaves that horse head? Scare tactic."

The End

Daniel Brouns lives in Sacramento, California with two dogs Pep-Pep and Yuckis, and enjoys walks in the park on Sunday afternoons.

First "Jeb Kennedy Fan Art" Submission!!

Here is a Jeb portrait submitted by two fans, along with their submission form to have their art posted on the Jeb Kennedy website:
Title:"Jeb Kennedy and His Trusty Bow and Bling"

Names: "Ashleigh & Katelyn (is that spelled right?)"

Why Are You Submitting?: "Because we have an awesome story."

What's The Story?: "(Morning Glory). The 'bling' around his neck is a peace offering from theIndian tribe- 'Mocha Kapuhchino'. It was forged from precious metals in their secret foundry beneath the bean cave in the forest.
His bow was handed down from his great-great-great grandfather twice removed , who is from Sweden. The bow has survived wars, floods, famines, fire and a volcanic explosion. It was struck by lightning in 1874 which turned it to gold. Now, it is imperishable. It is the definition of freedom, strength, and a prickly chest.
The arrow is perpetually saturated in poisonous venom from Amazonian toads. Only Jeb can hold it without dying. Most pass out just looking at it's beauty.
Jeb's feather was plucked from the left wing of the last-living franchescan pterodactyl in the Baha Islands. It was a gift from the inhabitants of the Mocha Kapuhchino lands. It is often mistaken for a small football. But don't make that mistake.
This image of Jeb is perhaps the best representation of what he ACTUALLY looks like- it will be passed from generation to generation. His eyes will continue to smolder those who look upon this work of beauty and glory, forever. AMEN."

THANKS ASHLEIGH & KATELYN! SUBMIT YOUR OWN JEB KENNEDY ART/STORY TODAY!
