Batman Buildup: Last Day

UPDATE: We at Jeb Kennedy have just become aware of the horrible events that transpired this morning in Colorado. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and families affected by this atrocity.


So for the last day, the official release day of The Dark Knight Rises, we'll be posting some movie posters we whipped up for ya. Here's my set.

Batman Buildup #6

My first actual piece of "The Dark Knight Rises" fan art. I spent way too long on this, but nearly all of it was just trying to get Bane to look like Bane. That's pretty difficult for me for some reason.

Also, my art hero Mike Mitchell recently started doing a series of fat bird paintings. You have no idea how happy this makes me. Which reminds me I still need to finish my series of "burds" eventually...

Bane the Bat Breaker

Day Two of the Batman Buildup brings us to...Bane!

Bane has been one of my favorite Batman villains since I first started reading the comics as a wee little child. Something about the deadly combination of smarts and pure brute force make Bane a really interesting character to me.

I love Christopher Nolan's interpretation of Bane in his movies, but for this drawing I just had to go with the classic Bane look (I put some of my own ideas into it, of course). Hope you enjoy!
