when i was in grade school i had a red and black bicycle that i rode every afternoon. my mom would get upset with me because i braked by putting my feet on the ground, fred flintstone style. i would go through a pair of sneakers in about 2 months.
you should probably watch this commencement speech by neil gaiman. and then watch it at least once a week for the rest of your life.
