Thick Ice

The icy walls of your eyes And what lies behind How you morph so quickly Into a chilly nucleus Closing up, burning with touch What you once held close Your temperature changes And we all feel weak At the site of the iceberg You’ve made of emotions How long will it take you to soften And break down at the core Of your unexcavated soul? Who will wait for a block of ice to melt?

Hello all! Here is the result of the very first collaborative effort between my fiance and I. I created the artwork/general idea, and she came up with the amazing poem. We've got a few more ideas in the works, so I'll be sure to keep you updated. -Jason
